An interactive museum of the landscape and settlement history of the Vienna region on the Leopoldsberg, reached by the Nasenweg trail from Kahlenbergerdorf. The design plays old against new: a timber building with entrance, workshops and an immersive multimedia hall complements the historic buildings, which house the exhibition. A bridge links the two.
Along the southern walls a new courtyard joins the church forecourt, the new building and the old one. The panoramic views over Vienna and the Danube stay open. Stations along the trail introduce the visit.
